It needed enough work for us to save money on the cost of the home but easiest enough for us to remodel the place ourselves and get the space ready for renting within a year. We remodeled based on photogenic qualities as well as AIRBNB’s amenity data on what customers are searching for.

Product Development
It’s important to both pick a location with increasing rental demand, where there is built tourism, as well as know your competition and how you can stand apart. I researched local, up and coming ski resorts, in the Sierra Nevada, then cross checked the areas with AIRDNA data. I narrowed my search to two locations and then began researching the real estate market in those areas.
Pricing strategy is important, but so is building an amenities list to beat the competition and allow you to Justify a price increase.
Ensure that your guests have a memorable and comfortable stay. Excellent service and amenities can lead to repeat bookings and positive word-of-mouth marketing.
